Mafeking Rover park has a large Nature reserve available for groups to explore.  The nature reserve incorporates a nature trail which is accessed by crossing the slat bridge and allows patrons of the park to explore the area and see some of the unique features the area has to offer.

Mafeking Rover Park has a grass volley ball court located below the Picnic Shelter available to use by all patrons of the park.

Mafeking Rover Park has a abseiling tower available for use by groups coming to the park.

The tower is made up of 4 stacked Cargo containers with internal ladders to provide access to the top of the tower.

Groups will need to provide a qualified instructor to supervise the use of the tower and all equipment.

Lake surfmoot is a purpose built water activities area suitable for canoeing currently Mafeking does not have any canoes available for use therefore groups will need to supply there own.

Please note due to the current drought in Victoria it is advisable to check on the current levels of water in the dams before planning any water activities at the park

Mafeking Rover park has several areas available for swimming.

Nudie Dam is a small dam situated near the front of the park with an average depth of 1.5m

Lake Surfmoot is a large man made dam which has been built to cater for a variety of water activities including swimming and canoeing.

Please note due to the current drought in Victoria it is advisable to check on the current levels of water in the dams before planning any water activities at the park

Mafeking Rover park boasts a excellent Nine holf golf course. The golf course is located towards the front gate of the park and is situated on your right hand side as you enter the park. The course is located between the nudie dam and lake surfmoot.

The course is seasonally available and you should check with the bookings officer as to its availability at time of booking.
