Top Gear Scout
Top Gear Scout is a weekend long adrenaline filled Patrol Activity & Competition Camp like none other!
Patrols will work together in completing over 15 activity bases across the weekend including BMX, Billy Carts, Car Smash, Abseiling, Archery, Chariot Races, RC Cars, Box Car Making & A Lake Surfmoot ‘Beach Party’ just to name a few!
For Scouts aged 12 & over we also give them the opportunity to learn how to drive a car in our very own Junior Development Program (JDP) & a Passenger for a Hot Lap around a race track in one of the Rover Scout Motorsport Race Cars!
All instructors & drivers are trained members of Scouts Victoria who hold Motorsport Australia Officials and/or Competition Licenses, All vehicles for the event are provided by Scouts Victoria Major Events – Top Gear & are scrutineered prior by Motorsport Australia trained officials.
We guarantee your Scouts will leave wanting more!

Top Gear Venturer
Top Gear Venturer is a weekend long Junior Development Program (JDP) event for Venturer Scouts aged 14-17 designed to enhance young driver skills & knowledge.
On Saturday Venturers will be taught how to control a vehicle in various situations including emergency braking, reversing a trailer, driving a manual & advanced car control. Across the day there is also a number of informational sessions on car maintenance, changing a tyre, 4 wheel driving, car or trailer loads & the effects of driving while tired or impaired.
Then on Sunday we let them loose on the race tracks for a Motorkhana Challenge against their friends to determine the winner of Top Gear Venturer!
Motorkhana’s are designed to test the skills of the driver by knowing car control, acceleration, braking & maneuverability by navigating around a predetermined course, typically within an area of 100m by 100m.
All instructors & drivers are trained members of Scouts Victoria who hold Motorsport Australia Officials and/or Competition Licenses, All vehicles for the event are provided by Scouts Victoria Major Events – Top Gear & are scrutineered prior by Motorsport Australia trained officials.
